We're up at 5:00 am to check out. Had out taxi grabbed by some Ugly American. Got to Gare Leon in plenty of time. No help from the guy in the information booth. Probably gets tired of tourists asking stupid questions. Figured out what track, whattrain, what car, what seat and we're off. Ride is very smooth. The first class seats are very large and
comfy. We were whisked along at a good clip and arrived in Geneva in 3.5 hours. We had to go from the train station to the airport to pick up the car. I asked a young clerk for some directions and she left her cash register to go out and help me get a ticket. The Swiss are VERY nice. Someone left their baggage cart just as we'd gotten off the train so we had a pretty easy time getting the car.
What a beauty. It's a Renault Laguna. Uses a "card"
for the key. Drove a few circles in the parking lot and took off.
